MOONBOX NOTES No.12 Is live on the blog. For this month, my intro dives more deeply into my recent internalization of needing surgery sooner than later, as I had announced in a recent post (content warning). In La Vida Mundial, I talk about @renew_earth_running (application period is open!) and @thegearjunkie news (the ugly side to electric vehicles), among other things. I’ve taken screenshots of the Recent Reads and Recent Watchings/Listenings sections, which features work via/by @pedalhomie @youareabigdealpodcast @sergio_concolor @orion_magazine @meru_turao @trailahead_podcast @blackmtninst @outsidemagazine @emilyontrail and others. And of course I end with a few writing updates. 💫 If you’re a fan of this monthly, let me know, subscribe to my website, or follow the people I’ve tagged. I definitely find purpose and joy in putting these notes together. ❤️ Link in bio, por supuesto.
Ocho años. 🥂
Winter scenes of late. I had a brief foot injury last month, but thankfully it has healed and I didn’t have to stop running 🙃. I truly hope for this year to be my most consistent running year yet. And there is an elephant of a reason behind this. To hold running as celebration, as health, as self-affirmation, as advocacy, as knowledge, as a vessel to channel both my joys and my griefs…gosh, I love the learning it brings me. The people. I’m still searching for a diverse running/outdoor group in Durango, but I also haven’t been here that long.
