Poetry month / 03 / I’ve been wanting to create a book of poetry but I feel out of touch with what’s out there already. Anyway, here’s a poem I’m contemplating...
Poetry month / 02 / “Written language privileges the intellect, but it also privileges sight, because we function not in the oral tradition but in the written tradition. When we put names on things, when we trap them in sentences, do we stop listening?...I wonder if we have an opportunity to know the world without language.” - Robin Wall Kimmerer
The list of month-long observations for April is quite extensive, but one of them is Poetry...so here are some words based on a poem from my journal /2.3.21 /
Love you, miss you. Wish I had photos of all my Cali fam/friends. ❤️
Momentos de aquí.
When the world feels too big to be a part of it; when you lose friends because you chose to stand up for yourself; when you can’t even make yourself laugh anymore...I hope that there’s still someone there for you, somewhere, and I know such a thing is a big ask. Almost impossible. So I thank Patrick every day for being here with me. Te amo.
